1. Overview

This Refund Policy ("Policy") sets out the terms governing refunds in respect of orders placed by users ("User", "You") on COVERA's online marketplace platform at lovecovera.com ("Platform"), operated by Agami Apparels Private Limited ("COVERA", "We", "Us").

This Policy is drafted in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. By purchasing on the Platform, You agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy.

This Policy must be read together with COVERA's Returns & Exchange Policy and Cancellation Policy, which together form a single framework for returns, exchanges, cancellations, and refunds on the Platform.

2. Refund Form — Store Credit Only

COVERA does not offer monetary refunds, cash refunds, or reversals to the original mode of payment for any reason whatsoever, including:

  • Returns approved under the Returns & Exchange Policy.
  • Cancellations under the Cancellation Policy (whether initiated by the User or by COVERA).
  • Refused shipments at the time of delivery.
  • Cases where a requested size or variant for exchange is unavailable.
Store Credit — No Exceptions
All approved refunds are issued exclusively as Store Credit, redeemable solely against future purchases on the Platform. Users who paid via Cash on Delivery (COD) are also eligible for Store Credit only. No bank or COD refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

3. Terms of Store Credit

Store Credit issued under this Policy is governed by the following terms:

  • Store Credit is credited to the User's registered COVERA account on lovecovera.com.
  • Store Credit is redeemable only against future purchases on the Platform.
  • Store Credit is valid for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date of issuance, unless otherwise stated at the time of issuance.
  • Store Credit is non-transferable, has no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to any bank account.
  • Store Credit cannot be combined with certain promotional offers; the applicable restrictions will be displayed at checkout.
  • Unused Store Credit will lapse upon expiry of the validity period, and no extension or compensation will be provided.

4. When Store Credit Is Issued

Store Credit will be issued in the following situations and timelines:

  • Approved Returns: Store Credit will be issued within 5 (five) business days of successful completion of QC inspection under the Returns & Exchange Policy.
  • Cancellations Before Dispatch: Store Credit will be issued within 10 (ten) business days of the cancellation being processed under the Cancellation Policy.
  • Refused/Returned Shipments: Store Credit will be issued within 10 (ten) business days of COVERA receiving and verifying the returned shipment.
  • COVERA-Initiated Cancellations: Store Credit will be issued within 10 (ten) business days of cancellation, in cases where COVERA cancels an order under Clause 5 of the Cancellation Policy.

5. Deductions from Refunds

Refunds issued as Store Credit will not include the following amounts:

  • Shipping charges paid by the User at the time of original purchase.
  • Convenience fees, COD handling charges, or any other fees paid by the User at checkout.
  • Any non-refundable taxes or charges levied at the time of purchase.

Where a product has been delivered with a defect or damage attributable to COVERA, and this is verified through QC and accepted at COVERA's sole discretion, COVERA may refund the original shipping charges as additional Store Credit, provided the User submits such a request within 7 (seven) days of receiving the original refund.

6. Conditions for Refund Eligibility

Refunds are issued only where the underlying return, cancellation, or shipment refusal has been approved in accordance with the Returns & Exchange Policy or Cancellation Policy. Specifically:

  • The returned product must satisfy all conditions set out in Clause 7 of the Returns & Exchange Policy (including the mandatory unboxing video requirement).
  • The returned product must pass COVERA's quality control (QC) inspection.
  • All applicable documentation (original invoice, order confirmation, evidence) must be provided.
QC Rejection
COVERA reserves the right to reject a refund request if the returned product does not meet the quality conditions stipulated in the Returns & Exchange Policy, as determined by COVERA's QC assessment. In such cases, the User will be notified, the product will be returned at the User's shipping cost, and no Store Credit will be issued. COVERA's decision in this matter is final and binding.

7. Refund Status & Communication

COVERA will make reasonable efforts to keep Users updated on the status of refunds via the User's account on the Platform, registered email address, and registered mobile number. COVERA disclaims liability for failure to notify the User of refund status due to technical reasons beyond its control.

8. Grievance Redressal

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, COVERA has appointed a Grievance Officer:

COVERA will endeavour to resolve all grievances within 30 (thirty) days of receipt. If unresolved, the User may approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.

9. Modifications to This Policy

COVERA reserves the right to update or modify this Policy at any time. Changes will be published on the Platform with the revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform after such modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Policy is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
